Our first farm blog and website

Today marks a pretty monumental occasion for our farm, well at least I think so. For almost five years I have been working with my brother to maintain, grow, diversify, sustain, I could go on and on using a myriad of verbs to describe what we have been doing and working towards on the farm. One of my self dubbed positions on the farm is marketing manager (fancy name for the person who makes business cards, post cards, banners, flyers, manages the Facebook page and in general tries to share our farm’s story). Last year I was pretty proud when I set up our farm Facebook page with the help of my cousin Megan Bame. At least a couple times a week at the Farmer’s Market, and when I meet potential customers I am asked do you have a website and I would say no, but we have a Facebook page. After about a year of asking people for website suggestions and doing my own research I decided to take the leap. None of the degrees I have are in IT, website design or marketing, so I just set out to tell our story. I love to take pictures, and to talk about my farm and my family, so that is what I am going to do. I hope that you will enjoy our website, with the promise that it will grow as we do, or at least as I learn to manage the page more. I hope you will also follow our farm blog as we share farm happenings with you. So, to end my first blog, I say thank you for visiting our website and for reading my first blog. Thank you for allowing me to share the first chapters in our farm’s story, as there are many more chapters to come.
